Slow flow yoga is a small, intimate class where postures are introduced and explored in a slow vinyasa format, with the poses being connected through the breath. Classes build endurance, flexibility, and strength. A basic knowledge of yoga practice is recommended. Please bring your own mat. A few mats will be available for general use. Instructor Ann Marie Engasser began her yoga practice 8 years ago her in Athens with Nita at the Yoga Monkey. At the time she was recovering from a long illness and yoga reintroduced her to her body and she became more physically fit. Yoga became much more than just physical exercise over the years until she was motivated to enroll and complete the 200hr Teacher Training program at Satya in Rhinebeck last year. She bring a gentle touch to her class as she guides her students to becoming more physically fit and more at home with their bodies and who they are. Please email info@athensculturalcenter.org to add your name to the Slow Flow Yoga mailing list to be notified of class cancellations or changes. Class fee: $5 suggested donation |
