Local Director Film Series Waking Sleeping Beauty (2010, 86 minutes) is no fairy tale. It!s the true story of how Disney regained its magic with a staggering output of hits—"The Little Mermaid," "Beauty and the Beast," "Aladdin," "The Lion King" and more—over a 10-year period. The joy of cartoons meets the agony of office politics in this fascinating, inside Hollywood documentary about how Disney, against all odds, revived the art of feature-length drawn animation. The film's writer, Patrick Pacheco, will introduce the film and
host a Q&A following the screening. Date and Time: Saturday, November 19th, 8:00 PM Admission: Free Information: info@athensculturalcenter.org
