SPRING OPEN Members' Inaugural Show of 2011 Season Our member artists from throughout Columbia and Greene counties (and even a few from New York City) show how creativity blossoms when spring is in the air. As always, we've assembled a provocative mix of works by professional artists and talented amateurs. OUT OF THE WARDROBE, TRUNK AND ATTIC Fashions Of The 19th Century Curated by Geoff Howell, the show will consist of costumes, and other clothing and fashion related artifacts, focusing on the 19th century, relating to the development of Athens, shedding light on how people dressed during various stages of the town's development. Included will be period photographs of local and other people in the 19th century, as well as photographs of homes that were built in the various periods. SHAPED Sculpture and other 3-D Projects A curated show, featuring three-dimensional work by member artists and invited artists from the surrounding areas. Featuring work by: Keith Batten, Jeanne Cameron, Charles Frazier, Millie Goldberg, Nicholas Kahn, Cynthia Karasek, Claudia McNulty, Portia Munson, David Montgomery, Lee Musselman, Leah Rhodes, and Tim Watkins.
